A doorway, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (intepreted)

Interpreted

Well, I guess it had to happen. I've been focusing on my own work for the past several weeks instead of working for the Man, and ironically, my own blogs have suffered. It's been nearly two weeks since I've posted here, which is the longest gap since I started chromalark.

I figured I should show up with something a little different after the break, so here's something I've been meaning to try for a while. It's a first attempt, but hopefully it shows some promise. I've brushed in emphasis on this image to provide an interpretation of its structure. Since I started taking photographs, I've been a lot more sensitive to patterns and structure in the world around me, and I'm trying to display that here.

I like the distribution of light and shadow here very much - the simple geometry dominates the composition and I can't think of a better door for me to be looking at right now :-)
