Junk waiting to be hauled away, Montreal, Canada

Retro

I was out walking around in Montreal and came across this stuff that someone had put out on their lawn, presumably to be hauled away. Check out those TVs!

I find it interesting that when radios and TVs were first introduced, they were styled like traditional furniture: wood cabinets, fabric coverings for the speakers, etc. Since then, we seem to have collectively decided that electronics should not look like furniture, and should instead have hard edges, and be made of plastic and metal.

Shot of the day is Further, at Diary of a Superfluous Man.
