Roiling water behind a Bainbridge Island Ferry, Seattle

Waiting to leave

This past weekend I rode the Bainbridge Island ferry again, which means I photographed the safety net again. I don't know what it is about that thing that draws my eye each time.

Anyway, this time I focused on the water more than in the past. In this shot, the ferry had not yet left the dock, and the propellers were churning up water to keep the ferry pressed against the dock.

See also past images of the safety net.
