A silhouetted tree in Arches National Park, Utah

Hot much?

Sorry for the lull in image posts; I was busy sitting on an island off the coast of British Columbia, contemplating the ocean. Very relaxing.

Most of the USA is sweltering (although the weather here in the Pacific Northwest is lovely), so I thought it might be time for more desert images. This is one of my favorites from my trip to Utah last spring. This tree is in Arches National Park, if I recall correctly. There is also a color version.

Shot of the day is "because vandals like tetris, too" on dailysnap.com.
