Massive

Victoria, BC, is a bit of a strange place. The area around the harbor is pretty and well-kept in a nearly Disneyland-like way. There are flower beds and potted plants everywhere.

I took a walk along the waterfront, though, and when you get half a dozen blocks away from the harbor things start to change. There were lots of homeless people sleeping on public lawns, and I passed a Salvation Army storefront with an enormous line of people waiting to get in.

Also, the city becomes more industrial-feeling in a hurry. This drawbridge is a case in point!

Wow, this is awesome! I like how the people look like ants to this massive drawbridge! Lovely lighting too. Love it.
