Tracks leading to a tram underpass in Budapest, Hungary

From Seattle to Hungary...

Back to images from my recent Europe trip. Here's a shot of some tram tracks in Budapest, which is where we headed after Krakow, via the night train. I wanted to get shots of the cool switching yards and trains in the rail stations we went through, but I was loaded down with bags and besides, I was afraid I might be hauled off to the gulag if I took photos in Eastern European train stations.

The Danube was flooding while we were in Budapest, so some of the tram underpasses had water in them and / or were being sandbagged while we were there.
