Bella Italia!

On my recent extended vacation, after Budapest, we flew to Rome, rented a car, and drove to Tuscany. Rural Italy, as you can imagine, was a huge change from the cities we had been in thus far.

We first stayed on a farm in Val D'Orcia, near Pienza and Montepulciano. This terrace café in Montepulciano had a commanding view of the surrounding hillsides, but was closed (chiuso) for the afternoon siesta.
