Escalators in a Budapest subway station

Continuing the transportation theme

For some reason, I spent a lot of time photographing public transit installations in the Eastern European cities we visited. Maybe it's because back home in Seattle, we still don't have light rail, or a subway, or streetcars, or anything at all, really, except buses for getting around town, so actual mass transit is a novelty.

So, here are some escalators. I realize there are escalators everywhere in the world, but these are Hungarian escalators, you see, so they're special.

i like your straight way to take photos. and yes thats a compliment!
maybe alittle sharpening...

greetings from germany

The foreground of this shot is indeed pretty blurry, but that's due to the fact that I had to use a wide aperture in the dark metro. Focus is on the escalator stairs.
