Gear for snow tubing at Snoqualmie Pass, outside Seattle

Not your grandmother's old tire

My wife and I bundled up our baby daughter and headed up to the mountains this morning with a friend of ours and her two young kids. The idea was to get everyone out to play in the snow for a few hours, and we couldn't have picked a better day. There was fresh snow on the ground and broken cloud overhead, so we got sunshine on us most of the time.

We took the kids "tubing", where you slide down a groomed hill on one of these crazy inflatable things. A good time was had by all.
