A mural in Seattle's Central District

Why a sax?

I found this interesting mural on a recent walk through the Central District in Seattle on a sunny afternoon. I believe it was in the parking lot near a school, and my guess is that the bulldog is a school mascot. I'm not clear on why he's playing a saxaphone, though, which is the sort of thing that seems like it might be tricky without opposable thumbs.
