Snowboards waiting for their owners, Stevens Pass, outside Seattle

Tips and tails

Here's a more complete view of a rack outside the main lodge at Stevens Pass. The whole problem with going snowboarding on the weekend is that the resorts near Seattle are always really busy then, at least during the peak part of the season (which we're in right now). As you can see here, things were pretty crowded while I was there.

I think I've been under-rating sunny days on the slopes; I resolve to head up to the snow more even when it hasn't snowed recently, as long as it's clear and sunny.
