A quiet truck loading dock on Harbor Island, Seattle

Hyper contrast

The rail car you can see on the other side of the loading dock is one of the cars shown in yesterday's image. I guess this dock is used to transfer goods from trucks onto the rail cars.

Obviously, I went a little nuts with the contrast here to underline the starkness of the scene. Hopefully it isn't over-the-top. It was kind of eerie wandering around taking pictures that day, since there was no one around (it being a Sunday). I was grateful for the chance to contemplate things undisturbed.

I've been putting together archive pages for the different image categories; you can now click on the category names on each image's full-size page to jump to a thumbnails list of other images in that category. Try it! The layout is very simple for now; let me know if you have feedback or suggestions.

Where is the page where I can browse by category, eh? :)

The category names on the full-size image page are now clickable. I'll be sprinkling category links around the site more liberally over the next few days...
