Empty Ski Check (2)

An empty section of the ski check area, Stevens Pass, outside Seattle

More emptiness

Here's another section of the Stevens Pass ski check waiting to be used. Obviously, the treatment here is a lot different from yesterday's shot; let me know what you think.

It was bound to happen eventually: my digital camera, after a grueling 15 months of service, is now officially useless. That's right, it exploded in a spontaneous fireball the other day when Canon unveiled its replacement model. As everyone knows, as soon as your digital gear is superseded with something newer and snazzier (in this case, the Canon 30D), you are compelled to go out and upgrade your gear because your old stuff stops working.

But seriously, people, lighten up. This is probably a great time to pick up a 20D; their price has been dropped while they clear out inventory.
