Waiting for customers

This is my last post from my Seattle Center visit for now. As I was mentioning yesterday, the fun-ride area was cold and quiet when I was wandering around.

This image is of one of the rides, which I can only imagine would be amusing for pretty young kids. The riders get into the little cars you can see at the left of the frame and ride around the closed loop, going over the little hump shown in the middle-right. The whole scene was very deserted-steel-and-concrete; the ride operator, whose jacket you can see in the middle-left of the scene, was standing around looking bored.

Notice that the angle of view of this image is much wider than yesterday's image, which was taken with my long lens. I was switching back and forth between a long zoom and a short prime.
