Stacked Boxes, Capitol Hill, Seattle

Under the wire again...

Life is busy these days. I'm squeaking in under the wire for today's post.

I was out walking on Capitol Hill today and saw these boxes stacked outside a garage next to where I like to get coffee. I was struck by the messy geometry of the scene: the boxes are nice rectangles, but they're stacked a little crooked.

There wasn't much light in the alcove, so I used ISO 800. It's not really visible at web resolution, but the noisiness at this ISO shows up as a somewhat film-like grain. I'm actually getting to quite like the luminance noise at high ISO from my camera; with the right post-processing, it is not at all unpleasant.
