Smashed windows in a disused building, Sandpoint, Seattle

Exposing buildings' bones

The fact that the disused buildings at Sandpoint are pretty well boarded up hasn't, of course, prevented bored passers-by from throwing rocks at any reachable glass surface. As a result, many of the commissary windows are smashed.

Here's a detail of some of the broken windows, taken with a long lens. You're probably getting tired of hearing this, but the contrast has been enhanced to bring out the stark shapes.

For some reason, the specific thing that caught my eye here was the fact that the parallel pipes were visible through one of the broken windows. I say "for some reason" because looking at the image now, I'm not sure that element is key to the composition.
