Sunflowers for sale at Pike Place Market

Sunshine for sale

The Market (a short stroll down from the funny-shaped bench) always has a wonderful selection of fresh flowers. These come in huge bunches for eminently reasonable prices, and it's anyone's guess (particularly my wife's) why I don't come home with a new bunch every day or two.

I wasn't able to get any particularly good shots of the flower vendors interacting with the market patrons, possibly because I'm too shy to stand around for long aiming a camera at other people, so it's back to static compositions for me (it seems that a self-critique thread is emerging here). I do like the diffused backlighting here; the plastic sheeting softened the sunlight from outside.

The beautiful lighting is what made me stop and gaze for awhile along with the rich golden colors. This image has "feeling".
