Debris on a dry riverbed, Utah

A Photofriday entry

This image is somewhat out-of-rotation; it's from a trip to the Utah desert I took this past spring. I will return to the set of images from that trip at a later time, but for now I'm posting this image to enter in the Photo Friday contest for this week: "Worn". I've entered images that had already been posted to chromalark in the past, but this week I'm posting this image expressly for the contest.

Nearby this dried-up portion of the riverbed, a small river was still running and stood between us and a couple of ruined, abandoned buildings in an area we were exploring in southwestern Utah. Of our party, only Timmy the Human was intrepid enough to wade the river to go poking around. He was not set upon by ghosts.
