Another bokeh image
I own two cats, and Timmy here is one of them. He was named after a very good friend of mine, after he complained that nothing in this world was named in his memory. Of course, with any luck at all, my friend Timmy the Human (as I sometimes have to refer to him to disambiguate him from the cat) will far outlive his namesake. As seems to be the rule with orange male cats, Timmy is rotund, lazy and enjoys the finer things in life, like sleeping and eating. Timmy the Human sometimes sympathetically remarks that he can appreciate Timmy the Cat's view of life, and I can't say I entirely disagree.
I actually have a defensible reason for posting an image of my pet (one of the more egregious photographic clichés around): as I mentioned previously, I've been experimenting with bokeh with a new long, fast lens I bought. I took this image with the lens wide-open at f/2.8; the trees behind Timmy in my Capitol Hill neighborhood are reduced to washes and pools of color, an effect I was quite pleased with.
i've got a mad cat called timmy from tommy
