The beginning of a selection of foods
There is a small farmers' market that's just getting started on Capitol Hill in Seattle; my wife and I dropped by it a few weeks ago and I got this image of some organic salad mix for sale.
One thing I like about the Northwest is the cultural focus on environmental issues. This gets lampooned a lot, of course: the stereotype of the Northwest native is a sandal- and hemp-clad, long-haired, hippy type drinking a decaf soy latte. There's some truth to this, but it's not all bad: we get tasty, naturally-grown produce.
