Aboard the Spirit of British Columbia

On the way back from Vancouver Island, we took a different route to Seattle that involved riding a BC Ferries ship, the Spirit of British Columbia, from Schwartz Bay on the island to the BC mainland. We were very impressed with the Spirit, which I gather has been newly upgraded. This ship is over 7 stories tall and felt like a floating lounge. There are play rooms for kids, restaurants, gift shops, multiple outdoor decks -- the works. It certainly made the Washington Ferry we had ridden from Anacortes look old and run-down.
