After the parade, I was lounging around on Capitol Hill drinking coffee and happened to snap these bikes locked up.

What I was struck by was the arrangement of primary colors: both the bikes and the newspaper boxes are in bright red and blue.

If I have a camera with me and happen to sit down to relax for a while, I find that I often find something at least passingly interesting to photograph after sitting still for a little while. This makes me think that I should:

• Carry a camera more, and
• Slow down!
